NoteArthur St. Claire Brindle m. Mabel Simpson Estabrooks. (by Lucretia). Mabel went to British Columbia about 1893 with her family. Towards the end of her life, she lived with her daughter, Mrs. Nettie Hunter on the Experimental Farm at Somerland, British Columbia.

CensusArthur St. Claire Brindle was head of the household in the census on 31 March 1901 in Kootenay West, Yale & Caribou, British Columbia, CanadaG. included in the household were Arthur's wife Mabel (Estabrooks), their daughter Nettie, and a housekeeper named Bell Watson. His religion was listed as Church of England, while that of his wife and daughter was Baptist. His occupation was listed as paper hanger. In later years he was a mining engineer (this note received from Chuck Davis).2

Biographical NoteArthur did not appear in the 1911 census. However, his wife Mabel and second daughter Gladys were listed in the household of a friend. The last known event in the life of Arthur St. Claire Brindle was in 1960, at the age of 90 or 91, he donated a collection of mining reports to the Association for Mineral Exploration British Columbia (this note provided by Chuck Davis).3
