Margaret remembers when she was young and being with her grandmotherAnnie (Ennis) Lamb's one Christmas morning and finding three dolls, anEaton Beauty, a medium sized and a black Sambo. She just knew that Myrtlewould not get a doll so on Grandma's advice she decided to let her havethe middle sized doll, which her Grandma agreed was the right thing todo. The rest of the family came for Christmas dinner and Myrtle had a bigdoll ! Now she would not have to give hers up but a look from Grandmasettled it and both girls had two dolls which was what was the intent!The McDonell's loved to visit Grandma's home on the Pipestone where theyplayed on the hills.
