| Note | BIOGRAPHY: James was a Magistrate. According to Dave Hunter, dhunter@@isn.net NAME: 'Park corner, of course, had a double attraction for Lucy Maud Montgomery. Across the road from Senator Montgomery's home, and just above Campbell's Pond, Lucy Maud's Lake of Shining Waters, was the Campbell homestead. This property was first owned by ***James Townshend Campbell, J.P.***,who was married to Elizabeth Montgomery, sister of Senator Montgomery. When Lucy Maud visited Park Corner, the owner of this property, and the attractive new home of which she spoke so endearingly, was John Campbell, son of Jame Townshend Campbell, who was married to Lucy Maud's aunt, Annie MacNeill. The 'trio of merry cousins' referred to in 'The Alpine Path', with whom she played were - Clara, Stella and Fredericka.......It was in the living room of this home that Lucy Maud married the Reverend Ewan MacDonald in July 1911.'
