Biographical Note	He was the son of (Christopher, Thomas, John) of South Kilworth, Leicester, England, and of Saugus (Lynn), Mass., Sandwich in the Plymouth Colony, and Portsmouth, R.I., gentleman, only son of his father, born, probably at Dunton-Bassett or South Kilworth, Leicester, about 1600.* Died, probably at Portsmouth, R.I., between 28 Feb 1676/7, when he made his will, and 23 Apr 1677, when his will was proved. He was in the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1631, returned later to England, and with his wife Audrey and two children, Anna (or Annis) and Christopher, embarked again for New England in the 'Abigail' in 1635. * According to Pope's Pioneers of Massachusetts he deposed 20 (4) 1654, aged about 53 years.

Biographical Note	John Green Sr. He was a surgeon. He left England 6 Apr 1635 on the ship'James' arrived in Boston MA 3 Jun 1635. He went first to Salem where hewas baptized by Roger Williams. He was driven from MA for his religiousconvictions and he came to Providence RI in 1637 and settled later inWarwich RI. His wife died soon after coming and he married 2/ AliceDaniels, she lived only a short time and he married 3/Phillipa (----) ona trip to London, she came back with him. His father was Richard Greenand mother was Mary Hooker Grandfather was Richard, great grandfatherRichard and Great great grandfather Robert.
