Obituary: Journal Pioneer 21 August 2002. "MACKAY -- The death occurred suddenly at Community Hospital in O'Leary Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2002, of David Arthur MacKay of Mississauga, Ont., and formerly of Albany, P.E.I., aged 69 years.

"He is lovingly survived by wife Lynn (Kilgore) and was predeceased by his loving wife of 44 years, Eleanor (nee Toombs).

"Also survived by three daughters, husbands and grandchildren Debra and Phil Grubbe (Andrew and Scott) of Calgary, Alta., Judy and Gino Tacogna (Stephanie and Natalie) of Mississauga, Ont., and Kim MacKay and Tim Klauck (Bobby and Jessica) of Mississauga, Ont.

"Survived as well by sister Vodia (Dr. Ross) Parker of Burlington, Ont.

"Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Matilda (Buxton) MacKay.

"David and Eleanor moved to Toronto, Ont., in 1950 where he helped operate potato brokerage firms.

"After retiring, he divided his time between Toronto, Florida and P.E.I. Resting at the Dawson Funeral Home in Crapaud, P.E.I., until Saturday, then to Tryon People's Cemetery.

"Visiting hours Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew's Memorial Presbyterian Church in Mississauga, Ont., with date to be announced.

"If so desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated."
