Roy was the son of the late Charles and Muriel (Elgee) Dykeman. Roy is survived by his beloved wife, son Burton and Beth Dykeman, New Maryland; daughter Barbara and Arnold Thorne, Sussex; five grandchildren, Trevor Thorne, Tori Ann Thorne, Terry Thorne, Debbie Dykeman, Donna Dykeman; one great grandson Jessie Curtis Thorne; two brothers, Earl and Daphane Dykeman of ON, Elmer and Doreen of Saint John; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by daughter-in-law Connie (Smith) Dykeman. Visiting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home (839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Jemseg Baptist Church on Wednesday, August 21, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. followed by interment in adjoining cemetery. Note	George Herman Dykeman was working in Minneapolis with a boom company when he was married. Later he and his wife lived in Spokane, WA. with their family. He was in the timber business, first on log rafts and later as a patrolman on the river. He lost his hearing as a result of an accident, and moved to Idaho where he sold Bibles. He retired in Lewiston where he was active in Masonry and well known. He had become a naturalized American citizen in November 17, 1919.
