Thomas and son Seymour were living on the Jolicure farm at the time of this census. Ada's other children were living with her in Amherst (Gertrude 22, Devonia 19, Gwendolyn 13 and Bruce 10). This must have been a boarding house as there were seven boarders, including Arthur Preston Walker. One must assume that through this connection with the Townshend family he met his future wife, Ella Mae Townshend. Thomas H. Townshend is a 1st cousin of Ella's father, Frank Townshend. Ada's husband Thomas was listed in the 1991 Census as head of household on the farm in Jolicure with son Seymour, 15.2
