- "WALKER-ROPER NUPTIALS: A very pretty wedding took place at the home of Mr. Leslie H. Roper of East Royalty when his eldest daughter, Winnifred Grace, was united in marriage to William Lorne Walker, son of Mr & Mrs. James Walker, Harrington. Rev. Mr. Reck performed the ceremony, the bride looked charming in a dress of wine velvet with matching accessories. She was attended by her sister, Ethel May Roper, while the groom was ably supported by the bride’s brother, Arthur H. Roper. Following the ceremony a delicious wedding supper was served by the bride’s mother. A crowd of chivariers than gathered and after bouncing the young couple and wishing them many years of happiness they quietly dispersed. The bride was tendered two delightful showers one a the home of Mrs. Allison Holmes where she received many beautiful gifts and a kitchen shower held at the home of her brother, Leslie Roper by the Y.P.S. of the S.D.A.
