He was the son of Agnes Bell.1 
Death*Charles Bell died on 17 May 1876, in Mains Cottages, Dumfriesshire, Scotland; he died at 7:00 am, following two days from a chest infection. His mother was a domestic servant at the time of his death. Agnes' sister, Mary Ann was present when he died. Charles' death was recorded 22 May 1876 at Clarencefield.1
