Note*At this time Daniel's spouse is not known, Daniel was born to John and Mary. Across Palmer Creek, on the right side, is the burying grounds of the Palmers, whose ancestor, Daniel Palmer, son of John and Mary, of Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts, had been one of the original owners of a Maugerville share. But Central Hampstead, with its intervale (bottom land) beyond Palmer Creek and its aptly named Long Island, tempted some of the Palmers away from Maugerville to a place where they could build near lush intervale but on high ground the river could not flood. Taken from 'THE ST. JOHN RIVER and its TRIBUTARIES', by Esther Clark Wright, 1966, page 98. They had 1 son, Daniel who married Sarah Whittmore.
