Death*Robert Bruce Barlow died on 19 October 1915, at age 53, in home, Wellington, Prince County, Prince Edward Island, Canada; the book entitled Preserving the Wallace Family incorrectly published his death date as 7 July 1904. Obituary: "Bruce Barlow, a well-known resident of Wellington, and for many years past owner of Wellington flour and feed mills, suicided on Tuesday last. He was at work with a number of men repairing his mill and appeared to be in his usual health and spirits when he started for his house a few steps away saying he would go and get some more nails. About an hour later his five or six year old stepson went to the attic for something and found the deceased hanging from a crossbeam. Dr. Jardine, the coroner, was summoned, but decided an inquest was unnecessary under existing circumstances as it was quite evident that the act was premeditated. Mr. Barlow was in his fifty-second year and was probably one of the most generally known men in this section of the province. He leaves to mourn a wife, one daughter by his first marriage, and two children of the present family to whom much sympathy is extended in this their sad hour of great bereavement."7
