Note*Clarissa M. Hayward was born at Lincoln, Sunbury, Co., N.B., June 7,1833, and came with her parents to Rockland when she was three years old.They lived in Brighton, N.B. They had ten children: Jane, Augusta, GraceFrances, Earl, Harry M, Frank, Samuel, Elizabeth, Sara, Rachel Belyea. 
Birth*She was born on 7 January 1833 in Lincoln, Sunbury County, New Brunswick, Canada.1 
She was the daughter of William Hayward and Frances Nevers
Marriage*Clarissa M. Hayward married James W. Belyea, son of James Belyea and Mary Albright, on 28 August 1853, in Brighton, Carleton County, New Brunswick. "married 28th ult., by same, James Bulyea, Brighton (Carleton Co.) / Miss Clarasa Hayward, same place."2 
Death*Clarissa M. Hayward died on 20 October 1902, at age 69, in Provincial Lunatic Asylum, Saint John, Saint John County, New Brunswick, Canada; cause of death was heart failure. Note: It is not absolutely certain that this death record is for Clarissa Hayward, but the fit is close enough to justify the link.3,4
