Note*In Memoriam Obituary: Moncton Daily Times 06 May 1922. "Twenty Five Years Ago 06 May 1897" "Another old landmark has passed away, Mr. George Gibson dying at his home on Mechanic Street in this city this morning, in the 89th year of his life. He had been very active for his years until about a week ago, when he was stricken with paralysis, from which he never rallied. Mr. Gibson was a native of England, coming to this country when quite young. He lived for a long time at Harrisville, on the Shediac Road, but some years ago sold his farm and removed to this city. He came of a long lived family, one of his sisters, Mrs. Seaman (Sarah Jane), mother of I.C.R. trackmaster Seaman, of this city, died about two years ago, aged 84; another, Mrs. Bateman (Catherine), is still living on the Shediac Road, aged 90; and another, Mrs. McEvoy (Mary Ann), is in her 93rd year." on 6 May 1922.8
