STEWART — The death occurred peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, on Jan. 16, 2003, of Constance Jean Burrows (Enman), 85, widow of the late Donald O Stewart. Born in Milestone, Sask., she was the younger daughter of the late Lawrence and Margaret Edna (Burrows) Enman.
She was a graduate in Business of Horton Academy, Wolfville, N.S., in 1935, was awarded a silver “H” during her years there, and worked as a legal secretary prior to her marriage, and for some years afterward.
For many years, Connie was active in the IODE, and was keenly interested in rug hooking, attending, as long as her health permitted, a group which met on a regular basis.
She is survived by brother William (Olive) Enman of Ottawa, Ont; sister Margaret Enman of Summerside; step-sons Alan (Maxine) Stewart of Windsor, N.S., and William (Helen) Stewart of Dartmouth, N.S; six step-grandchildren, and 15 step-great-grandchildren. There will be no visitation.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, with service at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, Rev. Harry Currie, Summerside Presbyterian Church, officiating.
