Obituary: "Joseph L. Davison of Kensington, who worked in the funeral home and ambulance service for 44 years, died in hospital in Summerside Tuesday. He was in his 90th year. The deceased was the son of the late George and Christie (nee Sheen) Davison of Irishtown. He was a retired funeral director and embalmer, having owned and operated the Davison Funeral Home and Ambulance Service in Kensington.

"Mr. Davison was a life member of Mount Zion Lodge No. 12, Kensington, and a member of the Prince Edward Chapter No. 12 Royal Arch Masons of Kensington, a member of the Kensington United Church, as well as a former member of the Kensington Town Council and a retired member of the P.E.I. Funeral Directors' and Embalmers' Association.

"He is survived by his wife Louise (nee Brown) Davison and the following children: Jean Cudmore, Halifax, N.S; Dr. Ross B. and his wife Jane Davison, Kensington; and Elizabeth and her husband Richard McCrossin, Halifax, N.S. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, as well as his sister Anna Johnstone of Long River. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Christene Buntain, in 1931; his sister, Norma MacCarten of Ottawa; and brothers Fred of Kensington and Carman of Boston, Mass.

"Remains are resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington until Friday, then to the Kensington United Church for funeral at 2 p.m. Interment in People's Cemetery, Kensington."2
