Note*Adne was 2nd born to Leverett and Frances. Adne was born in Grenfell, Assiniboia, North West Territory, which became Saskatchewan in 1905, Canada on June 4, 1887. He was a furniture mover and truck driver by trade. He married and was divorced, we don't know his Spouse. Adne was rather a vagabond and didn't keep in touch with the family very much. He had circulatory problems and lost his leg as a result of a blood clot and died not too much after his leg was amputated and possibly had diabetes. He died in Seattle on June 7, 1948, and was buried in Seattle. This account is stated in the book 'ENNIS HISTORY', published by Jean Agnes (Ferguson) Smith, 1979, pages 97 and 104, for biography.

Biographical Note* In 1776 Amasa was one of many who joined the militia in Maugerville to fight in support of the American Patriots, with a planned attack on Fort Cumberland, Nova Scotia.4 
Note*The following comment was regarding Amasa and his brother, Asa in the Studholm report: 'Amasa Coy and Asa Coy, two single men, claim a lot of 200 acres by Virtue of Deed of purchase from the attorney of William Dugall, dated August 12th, 1782, it being land leased to Josiah Whitney by the Rev. Curryl Smith of the Kingdom of Ireland; said lease is dated 29th of July, 1769. They have about 8 acres cleared and in fence but no buildings erected. Amasa was in arms against the fort at Cumberland' on 12 August 1782.5 
Biographical Note He came here in 1783 and he was the oldest member of the Baptist Church in this place, Pomfret, Connecticut. He was one of the founders of the Calvinist Baptist Church in Prince William, York County , New Brunswick. in 1783.

Birth*Amasa P. Coy was born circa 1815 in Pomfret, Windham County, Connecticut, U.S.A..1 
He was the son of Amasa Coy and Mary Smith
Biographical Note* Amasa was a student of Medicine in Glasgow University in Glasgow, Scotland on Oct. 12, 1832 according to a letter he wrote to his brother, John S. Coy, telling him that a lot of his friends were putting their neck in a noose by getting married and tells his brother not to make that mistake. He said a man should only get married when he can't look after himself. He was living in a boarding house with a Mrs. Main, #9 Maxwell Street, Glasgow, Scotland. He died young sometime before 1907. His death notice said that he was a surgeon. 
Death*Amasa P. Coy died in April 1837, in Fredericton, York County, New Brunswick.1 
(Interred) BurialHe was buried in the plot of Amasa Coy, in the Old Burial Ground, Fredericton, York County, New Brunswick, Canada, 45.95978,-66.64298.
