She was born at St. Eleanors, daughter of the late Thomas C. Cannon and his wife, the former Amy Ellen Creswell, and had lived in Summerside the past 43 years. She was a devout member of St. Mary's Anglican Church here. Her husband predeceased her in 1929. Mrs. Montgomery was the last surviving member of her family.

She is survived by three sons and two daughters: Gerald D., Moncton, N.B; Rowan R., Montreal; Cliff C. (Monty), Charlottetown; and the Misses Audrey and Constance in Summerside; also by three grandchildren, Robert in Montreal; Gail and Heather in Charlottetown. The funeral will be held from her late residence on Friday to St. Mary's Anglican Church for service commencing at 2.30 p.m. Interment will take place in the Peoples cemetery."9,3

Cherished grandfather of 19 and great-grandfather of 18. Dear brother of Gertrude Watson and Joseph (Charlotte) Cannon, and brother-in-law of Agnes Cannon and James MacNabb. Predeceased by infant daughter Mary Margaret, infant son Andrew Thomas, grandsons Benjamin Todd Huggett, Garry Steven Huggett, brothers; Louis, James, Stratton, and John, sister; Rita MacDonald, sisters-in-law; Jennie Cannon, Kay Cannon, Phyllis Cannon and Marion Hazelwood and brothers-in-law; John Watson and Frank MacNabb. Andrew served with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders from 1939-1945, he lead one of the first troops to the shores of Juno beach on D-Day during the Normandy invasion. During his tour of duty he was sent over-seas to England, Belgium, Holland, Germany and France. Along with his 3 sons and his son-in-law he returned to the beaches of Normandy for the 50th anniversary on D-Day where he was decorated by the mayor of Caen. Andrew returned home to PEI and moved to Sarnia in 1950 where he worked as a carpenter with Local 1256 since 1953. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Benedict?s Catholic Church, 1011 Oak Ave. Sarnia. Cremation will follow. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph?s Hospice."2

Obituary: "Mr. Arthur G. Cannon, well-known druggist of Brockton, Mass., passed away at his home in that city on Friday, September 18th. The deceased was a native of Summerside, a brother of Mr. Hammond W. Cannon of this town, and a son of the late William F. Cannon. Previous to leaving the Island a good many years ago the deceased learned the drug business in the pharmacy of W. R. Watson, Charlottetown. He leaves to mourn a wife and three children and two brothers, Hammond, of Summerside and Lorenzo, of Beverley, Mass., to whom sincere sympathy is extended."9
