Eaton Co. Phyllisworked there until she married Al Diston on the 9th of June, 1934. Theyhad one daughter, Valerie, who received her education at Cannaught PublicSchool and Central Collegiate in Regina. Valerie trained as a nurse atthe Regina General Hospital and received her R.N.. She Married LorneAston, a Physical Education Supervisor and teacher at Sheldon-WilliamsCollegiate on the 15th of August, 1959. Both were very Active in youngpeoples work and are hard workers in the Whitmore Park United Church. They have a daughter, Laurie, born the 7th of November, 1960 and a son,Gregory, born the 6th of November, 1962. Laurie is now in Grade 11 andfavors Mathematics and Secretarial classes. She plays piano and organand also shows some talent in the Arts. Gregory was honored in Cub Scouts for having completed all the tests andbeing awarded every badge in the Cub Scout program. He is interested insports and acted as one of the managers of the Junior Basketball team atCampbell Collegiate. Laurie and Greg are both excellent swimmers having qualified as SeniorLife Savers and received their bronze medallions from the Canadian RedCross. |
