Bruce loyalists fought Balliol supporters. Leaders on the Bruce side were Donald, Earl of Mar, Robert Bruce and Duncan, Earl of Fife. Leaders of the Balliol supporters were Edward Balliol and Henry Beaumont. The result was victory for the side of Balliol.1,2 |
