Loyalist*A Loyalist of the American Revolution. 
Birth*Edward Winslow was born on 20 February 1746 in Plymouth, Massachusetts.1 
He was the son of Edward Winslow Esq. and Hannah Howland.1 
Milit-Beg*Edward Winslow began military service in 1775 in Boston, Massachusetts; having joined the British army.2 
Marriage*He married Mary Symonds before 1776.2 
Biographical Note* On 30 July 1776 in New York City the British high command appointed him Muster-Master General to the Provincial Troops, with the rank of Lt. Colonel.2 
Biographical Note As a Loyalist he was declared a traitor and banished from Massachusetts in 1778.2 
Immigration*Edward Winslow and Mary Symonds immigrated to Nova Scotia in April 1783 with their young family.2 
Moved*Edward Winslow and Mary Symonds moved to New Brunswick in 1785; he was awarded land in New Brunswick by the British for his war service during the American Revolution. Edward held several public positions in New Brunswick, including member of Council, Surrogate-General and Judge of the Supreme Court.2 
Death*Edward Winslow died on 13 May 1815, at age 69, in his residence, "King's Wood", Kingsclear, New Brunswick.2
