When Mr. Beer was called, he was sitting on the bed reading his Bible, but he at once dressed and went to Mr. Walker's. Here he was suddenly seized with a heart attack and was taken to the doctor's office across the street, where he passed away in less than an hour after Mr. Walker's death. The latter was a retired farmer and was between sixty and seventy years of age. Mr. Beer, who was several years his junior, was a tailor by trade and one of the leading residents of Crapaud, being a prominent member of the United Church and of the Masonic and Orange Orders.
