Birth*Edmund Tudor was born in 1431. he was born either at Much Hadham Palace in Hertfordshire, or Hadham in Bedfordshire, an older son of Owen Tudor and Catherine de Valois, widow of King Henry V of England. It is not known with certainty whether he was born legitimately after his parents were secretly married.3 
He was the son of Owen Meredith Tudor and Catherine de Valois.2,3 
Marriage*Edmund Tudor married Lady Margaret Beaufort Duchess of Suffolk, Countess of Richmond and Derby, daughter of John Beaufort Duke of Somerset and Margaret Beauchamp, on 1 November 1455, in 1452 Margaret Beaufort, aged nine years, was summoned to the court of her second cousin, King Henry. Some three years later, she was married to Edmund Tudor. She was twelve years old when she married, and pregnant a year later. The Wars of the Roses had begun. Edmund, a Lancastrian, was captured by the Yorkists in mid-1456. He was imprisoned at Carmarthen Castle in south Wales, where he died of the plague on 3 November 1456. His only child, the future King Henry VII, was born almost three months after his death.1,3 
Death*Edmund Tudor died on 3 November 1456, in Carmarthen Castle, Wales, 51.856,-4.316; During the Wars of the Roses, Edmund was captured by the Yorkists in mid-1456. He was imprisoned in Carmarthen Castle in south Wales, where he died of the plague.3

P/O J. Tuplin collided in mid-air with a Halifax, NP796, piloted by F/O Bernard A. Boyd. The two aircraft were on the last major bombing raid of the Second World War (April 25, 1945) . There were no survivors. Six of the seven bombers lost in that raid on Wangerooge, were involved in mid-air collisions with Bomber Command aircraft.
