Biographical Note* Margaret was brought up by her mother's people and married, as the second of his three wives, Thomas Hacker. They lived at Schurman's Point, North Bedeque, on the old Hacker farm, later owned by Freeman Simmons. Margaret had no family. All of Thomas' children were by his first wife, Sarah MacMillan (1853-1889).2
