Biographical Note* George was only two months old when his father died. His mother allowed some of her seven children to be takin in by several relatives. George was taken to the home of Fred & Helen (MacNeill) Hardy. Helen was a first cousin of George's father. Fred and Helen changed George's name to Keith Lockhart Hardy.2 
Milit-Beg*George Campbell Rix began military service; Keith was a Flight Sergeant with the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II, stationed out of Malta.3 
Death*He died on 9 April 1942, at age 23; Keith was killed in action as a gunner while serving with the Royal Canadian Air Force in Malta.3 
Burial*He was buried in Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.3
