Biographical Note* Henrietta and Samuel lived in Travellers Rest, which borders Sherbrooke, and had two sons. Henrietta died following childbirth and the boys were separated. James was taken by his widowed grandmother Heffell at Traveller's Rest, and Lloyd was taken by his grand-uncle, Ben Schurman, Summerside. Samuel left the island for the States and settled in Syracuse, New York. He is buried in Cortland, New York.4

He is survived by two sons, James and Henry Heffel; two sisters, Miss Mary A. Heffel of Prince Edward Island, Canada, and Mrs. Frank Barrett of Attleboro, Mass., and a niece, Miss Beatrice Heffel of Brookline, Mass., who came to this city to make the funeral arrangements.7

"HEFFELL -- The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital in Summerside Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2002, of Harry Holbourn Heffell of Travellers Rest, aged 98 years.
Born at Travellers Rest, he was the son of the late William and Maude (Rayner) Heffell. Brother of Gertrude Finnegan of Florida, Dorothy Germain of Montreal, Que., Stella Frosst of Toronto, Ont., James (Lorna) Heffell, Jean (Roy) Ramsay and Marjorie Somers, all of Travellers Rest, and brother-in-law of Elva Heffell of Kensington.

"Predeceased by brothers John and William and by sisters Hilda Leard and Mary Ellen Burns. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home in Summerside, where funeral service will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
