Note*

Daniel must have moved from New York to Iowa where he may have lived for a while with his older brother Thomas (1870 census) age 19. where he met and married Sarah in 1872. Dan was a shoemaker. They homesteaded in Badger Mn. Daniel and Sarah sold their house in Badger in 1919 and moved to Oregon. Tualatin, Oregon cemetery could be in Hillsboro 453423 NI 225938 N.orLake Oswego in Clackamas County. His granddaughter Leona Yancey gives Daniel's birth date as July 7 1851. The 1920 Oregon census (vol 3) Ed 55, sheet 14 line 63 showed Daniel's age as 66 with the birth place as New York. and his wife's age (Sarah) as age 66 birth place Iowa. Daniel died from a ruptured appendix.¹

When Frank was a boy, he moved with his parents from Illinois to Iowa. He and his wife live in Milwaukee Wisconsin and Freeport IL before settling in Windsor where they lived for 17 years. They had 2daughters, Mrs. Elmer E Grundy of Milwaukee WI and Mrs. Lenore Swisher of Columbus Ohio. They also had two grandchildren, Shirley Grundy and Velma Mae Swisher, a sister, Mrs. Frank Orsdoll of Rowley IA,2brothers, William Goodwin of Sacramento CA and Charles Goodwin of Ocean Beach CA. Frank belonged to the Masonic Lodge at Windsor Lodge no. 69. Frank was an agent with the Great Western Railroad. He ran for the office of City Treasurer.¹

Note*

George required glasses when he was a little boy. He had about seven years of piano lessons, going to Dauphin, Manitoba on a weekly basis to get instructions. Ross relates that when George was young he found a pail of lard in the pantry in Ethelbert. The living room had been freshly painted and through the alughter from Morris they proceeded to plaster the walls, much tothe dismay of their mother when she found out what they were doing. I guess these two got into earlier trouble at Mabella. Since Mabella was in the sticks a large larder had to be maintained. The two boys got into the pantry one time and proceeded to tear off all the labels on the cans. Suppers were always a surprise for a long time. George left at a young man to work in telegraphy, living in the Yukon during the War II. After the war he and his bride, Kay lived in Winnipeg. He moved to Toronto with his family where he continued to work in telegraphy for the CNR. He also worked in radio servicing. He moved to Cobourg, Ontario, where Kay still lives (1999). After he retired he worked on a contract basis in Zimbabwe setting up a communications network. He had just returned for a second contract extension when he contacted Heptitus C (from drinking polluted water)and died.¹
