Dr. Jardine continued in a full practice until he sustained an unfortunate injury in an accident at the opening of Milligan and Morrison racetrack at Northam, P.E.I. in 193?. He apparently fell into an open manhole and struck his head on a cement slab. The injury was severe and for about one week afterward all traffic near his home had to be stopped as the noise bothered him so greatly. Within a few months he resumed his professional career at Kensington in full capacity. He maintained his medical career until the early 1940's when he was forced to retire due to ill health.4 |
